Easily access the surf beach, Anzac Bay, Shelly Bay and Cave Bay all within a few minutes walk. The house is compact but stylish and has everything you need for a fabulous and relaxing beach holiday. Large outdoor firepit and deck area for long summer nights, cosy indoor fire and arched windows for snuggling up with a book and a view. Two generous indoor bedrooms and caravan sleepout.
For those who love the outdoors and beach life, this funky two bedroom beach house is quite simply located in the best spot in Bowentown, at the southern end of Waihi Beach. With the Bowentown Reserve backing on to the house, walk out our back gate and join your family for a game of petanque, touch rugby or cricket. Walk 50 metres to the left and you are at the stunning Bowentown Surf Beach (with Surf Lifesavers on patrol over the summer). Turn right out of the gate and you are 100 metres from the beautiful Anzac Bay – a safe, dog friendly swimming beach, or walk another 10 minutes over the hill to the stunning and secluded Shelly Bay. Then there’s Cave Bay on the southern side, the secret surfcasters spot – four beach choices within walking distance! Fishing, surfing, swimming, biking, walking tracks - there is no need to get in the car. Enjoy a wine on our outdoor deck which overlooks the Bowentown Reserve and Te Ho lookout, with the added bonus of an exquisite view of the ocean looking out to Mayor Island. Wash the sand and salt off with our hot outdoor shower or soak in our indoor spa bath after a full day of fun in the sun. Enjoy the outdoor firepit and courtyard area for a few evening songs. On cold nights you can light the woodburner which makes the evenings super cosy and heats the whole house. Watch moives on one of the seveal streaming sites provided free of charge (Panasonic 50 inch Smart TV has Netflix, Neon, You Tube, Spotify plus has Chromecast) or maybe catch a game as the house also has Sky TV with Sky sport. Walk across the sports field to get a delicious coffee from Froth Café at the Bowentown Campground (where you can also purchase sundries like milk, bread, ice and bait). Head down to the Bowentown Fishing Club for a scrumptious bite to eat whilst enjoying their lovely deck overlooking the jetty – make the most of their complimentary shuttle van. Or you can head down to Waihi Beach itself where you have many choices of places to dine, eat and play.

Fall blissfully asleep listening to the sound of the surf. Our two bedrooms both have king size beds, lovely wooden louvres and ceiling fans that will make you feel like you are on a tropical island. For those extra guests or teenagers who like their privacy, we have a very cute 70s retro caravan with one single and one small double bed (with wifi and power connections).
